FIRST TIMERS & GENERAL FAQ

How many classes does it take to get “comfortable” with the method?

You will definitely feel more far comfortable after your first class, especially if you haven’t spent much time on a modern pilates reformer or curved treadmill. However we believe it really takes about four classes to start seeing the benefits of our method. Your first few classes will be all about meeting our machines and getting in your groove (but don’t worry you’ll still get a killer workout!) By class three and four things start to really “click” and you’ll be able to push yourself even further.

Should I start on the reformer or the treadmill?

This is totally a personal preference! For your first time, we usually suggest starting on the reformer so you are fresh and can be fully engaged in learning all of the moves. The treadmill is a little more self-explanatory!

When should I get to my first class?

We always suggest that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your first class. This will give us time to show you around the studio and introduce you to our method and machines. Instructors always spend one-on-one time with each first-timer before class to make sure you are set up to have the best possible experience.

What should I wear to class?

Whatever you feel most comfortable in! We do require pilates grip socks on the reformer machine to keep your feet from sliding. Feel free to bring your own pair or pick some up at the front desk when you arrive. (First timers get ½ off their first pair.) You’ll also want to have your sneakers for the CardioSculpt class.

What should I bring?

Grip socks, sneakers and water. (We do have bottled water for sale in the studio as well as a water bottle filler station.) We also have plenty of towels for you to use, so don’t worry about bringing one. We do ask that you not bring your cell phones into class with you, as this can be distracting and dangerous on the machines. If you are expecting an important call, you are welcome to leave your cell phone at the front desk and we can come get you.

Can I take class while pregnant?

We always suggest consulting with your doctor on this one. Typically, we don’t recommend trying a new workout if you’re expecting, however clients who have been regularly attending classes are usually clear to continue doing so (again, will approval from your doctor.) Our instructors are trained to give modifications to clients who are expecting, so please be sure to let them know before class so they can customize your workout.

How old do I have to be to come to SculptHouse?

16 with written or in-person parental consent, and 18 otherwise.

How often should I be taking class for optimal results?

For optimal results we suggest taking class about 2-3 times a week. One of the best things about our method is its efficiency, so a few times a week is really all you need! We do have clients that come almost every day, and if that’s your thing, by all means go for it! Our workout is low impact enough for the body to handle it. The most important thing is to listen to your body and what it needs.

What sort of amenities does my home studio have?

Our newest studios in Sandy Springs, Nashville and Dallas all have showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. (Buckhead, stay tuned! We are working on this for you!) All studios are equipped with hair dryers and a wide array of other grooming products (deodorant, dry shampoo, hair ties, makeup wipes, etc.) If there is anything you would like to see at your home studio always feel free to let us know!

PURCHASING CLASSES & MEMBERSHIPS

What options do I have for buying classes?

Your first class is always $15! After that you have a few options – individual classes, class packages or memberships. Check out your studio’s Buy a Class page (LINK) for a full list and pricing.

Can I use my classes at any location?

Our classes and memberships currently fall into two pricing tiers based on location. Our Buckhead and Dallas studios have matching prices, meaning those classes can be used interchangeably. Same goes for our Sandy Springs and Nashville studios. If you live and Atlanta and want to be able to take classes at Buckhead and Sandy Springs, you will need to purchase Buckhead credits.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes! You may freeze your membership for up to two months. If you would like to do this, please contact your home studio to arrange.

CANCELLATION & MOVING CLASS

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy window is 12 hours before class, meaning if you are signed up for a 6am class you will need to cancel by 6pm the night prior.

Can I move my reservation?

Yes! You can always move your reservation around within the 12-hour cancellation window. Additionally, if you are outside the cancellation window and need to move to another class, you can switch one time a day without penalty by calling the studio (don’t try to do this from the booking app). For example, if you are stuck late at work and can’t make it to the 5:30pm class, you could call and ask to switch to the 6:30pm without losing a credit or incurring a late cancel/no-show fee.

What if I miss a class?

If you do miss class, you will forfeit your credit (if you are using individual classes or packages) or incur a $25 fee (if you are using an unlimited membership). We know things come up, so we do allow you one free “late cancel” to be used at any time.

BOUTIQUE

What is your return policy on boutique merchandise?

Returns and exchanges are accepted within seven days of purchase. Merchandise must be unworn, with tags attached. Shoes are nonrefundable, but may be exchanged or returned for store credit. Beauty & Wellness Products, swimwear and accessories are final sale. Sale items are final sale. Gift cards are non-refundable and expire one year from purchase. Returns will be credited to the original method of payment or for store credit.

Do you offer giftcards?

We do! You can purchase gift cards for class packages or boutique merchandise. Giftcards can be purchased in-store or online.
